Lewd content featuring a lecturer from Midlands State University (MSU) and a law student went popular on social media last Friday.
Videos and images revealed Panashe Ashley Hwaviva, a student, and Reginald Chidawanyika, the department chair of procedural law, kissing and cuddling.
One of the images showed the student twerking while naked on a WhatsApp video call with the instructor, and the material implied that the two were romantically involved.
The incident took place, in accordance with Mirirai Mawere, director of marketing and communications at MSU, during the student’s break.
With Chidawanyika’s resignation, the institution has stated that it has a clear sexual harassment policy with guidelines. If there is evidence of sexual harassment, severe measures will be taken.
