Bushiran, the leader of the Wa Naa’s Task Force and popularly known by his business name Bush Phone Dr., experienced a violent attack on his phone shop by a group of suspected tramadol dealers.
The incident occurred on Monday afternoon, when the gang of hooligans stormed Bushiran’s shop, breaking in and causing widespread damage. They vandalized the shop, scattering valuables and stealing various items including phones, chargers, cash, and phone accessories, all amounting to thousands of Ghana cedis in losses.
According to Bushiran, this attack adds to the ongoing threats to his life from the same group of gangsters. Fortunately, police were able to apprehend Arafat, a well-known gang leader from Tagrayiri, who goes by the alias Miami Boss. Arafat is believed to be the ringleader of the group responsible for the attack.
Bushiran heads the Wa Naa’s Task Force, a unit set up by the overlord of the Wa Traditional Area to curb drug abuse and violent crime within the Wa Municipality.
Since its formation, the task force has seen notable success, especially in halting a series of killings and significantly reducing drug abuse in the area.
The primary focus of the task force has been to target drug sellers and clamp down on the rampant drug trade in Wa. Their efforts are expected to intensify following this recent incident.
