Dr. Rashid Pelpuo, the Member of Parliament for Wa Central, has announced a GHS100,000 reward for anyone or group who provides information leading to the identification and arrest of the culprits behind the mysterious killings in Wa.
The MP’s substantial reward aims to encourage residents to come forward with any vital information that could help bring the perpetrators to justice.
Is worth recalling that in September 2022, the Wa municipality of the Upper West Region was gripped by a series of brutal killings targeting watchmen and mentally ill persons. These serial killings resulted in the deaths of approximately 14 individuals, creating widespread fear and panic among residents.
It takes the efforts of security personnel and the dedicated youth of the municipality to temporarily halted the killings, a recent incident on June 17th has reignited fears.
Two watchmen were murdered in one night at konta GES office of Wa East and Wa Model JHS respectively , prompting urgent reactions from the community, including the chiefs and elders of the Wa Traditional Council.
In a press conference held earlier today, the revered lawmaker reiterate his commitment towards restoring peace and safety in Wa municipality and will give anything to make sure these killers faces the law.
