On April 15, 2024, Radio Waa, a commercial radio station located within the Wa Municipality in the upper west region, took significant steps towards repositioning itself which lead to mass resignation of staffs including Mustapha Jakpa, Seidu Fatawu ,Dj Anada And Abacause.The strategy does not go down well with these staffs hence their resignation.
This strategic move was outlined in a letter signed by Mr. Dramani Iddrisu, the Managing Director of the station.

In the communication, it was stated that all radio programs, except for paid commercial adverts, would be suspended for a period of two weeks. This temporary halt in programming aims to pave the way for the improvement and repositioning of all radio shows and segments.

Furthermore, all media staff were directed to proceed on indefinite leave of absence, with the exception of essential personnel such as the General Manager, security, administrative, and auxiliary staff.

During the two-week suspension period, individual notices would be issued to staff detailing their portfolios and programs in alignment with the station’s repositioning agenda. Failure to receive notice within this timeframe would signify the termination of the staff member’s service to the station.
Additionally, staff members were instructed to hand over any Radio Waa property they possessed to the General Manager by Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
