In a significant development for agricultural advancement in the region, the Wa Municipal Chief Executive has overseen the handover of a site for the construction of an irrigation dam in Kperisi.

The planned irrigation dam is expected to have a capacity of one million cubic meters to store water, providing a reliable source for irrigation purposes. It will include an irrigable area where farmers can cultivate their farmlands or gardens, enabling all-year-round farming in the Kperisi Electoral Area.

The project is anticipated to have far-reaching impacts on the local economy, with approximately 5,000 jobs expected to be created upon its completion. These employment opportunities will contribute to poverty alleviation and socio-economic development in the community.
