The Wa East District Chief Executive (DCE) Dr. Mahama Sulemani Kandia Edwurah found himself under scrutiny as the Public Accounts Committee exposed a delay in sanctioning project requests from the Member of Parliament Hon. Godfred Seidu Jasaw.
The Committee directed the DCE to promptly approve all pending letters upon his return to the office.
During the hearing, it was revealed that over sixty letters from the MP had been sitting in the DCE’s office for more than six months without any action taken to approve them.
This delay in sanctioning the project requests has sparked concerns regarding the DCE’s commitment to facilitating development projects in the district.
The intervention by the Public Accounts Committee aims to ensure that the MP’s projects
