In the Chegli community of the Kperisi electoral area in the Wa Municipality, the Curious Minds initiative, led by the Upper West Regional Chapter, is making strides in addressing teenage pregnancy and promoting reproductive health education. The recent event organized by Curious Minds served as a platform for open dialogue and collaboration, highlighting the urgent need for proactive measures to address the root causes of teenage pregnancy. Participants emphasized the importance of comprehensive reproductive health education and resources to equip youth with knowledge and decision-making skills.

Mr. Amin Ibrahim, Deputy Coordinator of the Upper West Regional Chapter, underscored the initiative’s goal of enhancing reproductive health awareness and combating the rising numbers of teenage pregnancy in the region. Yahaya Abdul-Walid, the Assembly Member for the Electoral Area, commended the proactive approach of Curious Minds in addressing this critical issue affecting the community.

Despite commendable efforts, concerns were raised about the alarming prevalence of teenage pregnancy within the community. Residents appealed to state authorities for urgent intervention and support to address the underlying factors contributing to this societal challenge.
