The Constituency Executive Committee of Wa Central has issued a restraining order against Hon. Takora Attawa, the NPP Constituency Women Organizer, due to allegations of gross disrespect, insubordination, and intransigence.
The decision to suspend her from her role is made under Article 3(7)(1) of the NPP Constitution, which allows for suspension pending an investigation into misconduct.
The Committee cited that despite numerous warnings and attempts to address the situation, Hon. Attawa’s actions have continued to violate the Party’s core principles, particularly Article 3(5) A(2) of the NPP Constitution, which stresses the need for loyalty, discipline, and unity within the Party.
During the period of the suspension, Hon. Attawa is prohibited from performing her duties or attending any meetings related to the office of the Constituency Women Organizer.
The Executive Committee hopes that this suspension will allow Hon. Attawa to reflect on her behavior and its impact on the Party, with the expectation that upon her return, she will exhibit a collaborative and respectful approach to leadership.
The Regional Executive Committee will review this restraining order in accordance with Party regulations, with the possibility of further disciplinary actions, including removal from office, if further misconduct is observed.
