Dr. Rashid Pelpuo, the Member of Parliament for Wa Central, has reinforced his dedication to advancing healthcare in his constituency with the inauguration of a cutting-edge health center for Guli community.
This state-of-the-art facility, constructed in collaboration with the Qatar Foundation, is a first-of-its-kind project for the Guli cluster of communities. Equipped with advanced medical tools, the center has the potentials of providing secondary healthcare services, a critical enhancement to healthcare accessibility in the Upper West Region.

At the commissioning ceremony, Dr. Pelpuo highlighted the facility’s importance in addressing pressing health needs. He assured residents of his commitment to further develop the center into a fully operational secondary healthcare hub for Guli and surrounding communities.
“We’re not just building a facility; we’re building hope and access to quality healthcare for the people of Guli and it’s environs. This health center is a symbol of our determination to leave no one behind,” said Dr. Pelpuo.

The commissioning ceremony was graced by officials from the Ghana Health Service and healthcare workers who lauded the initiative as a transformative step for the community.
This project is part of Dr. Pelpuo’s broader vision to enhance healthcare in the constituency. In September, he allocated significant funds for the renovation of the Kperisi Health Center and ensured the maternity ward was connected to the national grid, significantly improving healthcare services in the Kperisi electoral area.

The new health center is expected to see the people of Guli moving from a shea butter processing facility used as clinic to receiving quality health care in the ultra modern facility and also reduced significantly pressure on nearby facilities and provide convenient access to quality medical services for residents.For many in Guli, the center represents an opportunity for better health outcomes and a brighter future.
Dr. Pelpuo called on stakeholders and community members to work together to ensure the sustainability of the facility. He emphasized that healthcare is a shared responsibility and pledged his continued support to initiatives that prioritize the well-being of his constituents.
