The Upper West Regional Minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, has extended his support to newly promoted Access Bank Division One side, Wa Power Sporting Club, ahead of the upcoming season. The regional division two champions paid a courtesy visit to the minister’s office on Monday, July 17th, 2023, to officially inform him of their new status in Ghana football.

During the meeting, the management members of the club presented the giant trophy they won to the Regional Minister, along with a branded Lacoste shirt representing the club. Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih expressed his delight in receiving the club’s top-ranking members and commended their achievements.

The Regional Minister emphasized the importance of projecting the name of the region through sporting achievements and encouraged the club to continue working hard as they prepare for the upcoming division one football season. To support the club in their preparations, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih generously donated an amount of GH¢10,000.00. This financial assistance will aid the club in their training, recruitment, and overall readiness for the division one football season.
