National Service Personnels for the 2023/2024 service year in the Upper West Region have lamented over the delayed in payment of their monthly allowance.
According to the personnels, they have done 5 months into the service which started on November 2023 but yet to receive a pesewa as allowance from the central government a situation many described us worrying considering their economic woes.
Many lamented on living with huge debts borrowed to feed, clothes and footing medicals bills, stating categorically clear that their colleagues from other region got 2 months payment since last week which have raise questions of why must we (Upper West Region) always be last.
In wake of this, the NSS Personnels in the region are threatening to boycott their services or hit the street if nothing is done by Tuesday 12th March.
