The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of Lassia Tuolu Senior High School, located in the Wa West District of the Upper West Region, has come forward to address the school’s feeding challenges by making a generous donation of food items worth over GHS 34,000. This act of support demonstrates the PTA’s commitment to the well-being and development of the students.

The school management, recognizing the insufficient foodstuff available for the students, reached out to the PTA as a key stakeholder to seek assistance. In response, the PTA executive board swiftly organized an emergency meeting, during which it was unanimously agreed that parents would contribute their resources to support the government’s efforts in ensuring adequate feeding for the students.

Mr. Bere Alex Nako, the PTA Chairman, expressed his gratitude for the remarkable response from parents who willingly contributed to support their children’s feeding needs. Their donations included 20 bags of maize, 5 bags of gari, 2 bags of Soyer beans, five gallons of palm oil, and 3 bags of groundnut. These contributions will go a long way in addressing the immediate feeding challenges faced by the school.

The Parents Teachers Association firmly believes that education is the key to the country’s development and is committed to playing its role in supporting efforts to improve the educational system.
