A young man is presently gaining much attention on the internet after he co-founded Kambuu, a mobile application that commuters in the Upper West and the north, in general, can use to order locally-made vehicles tricycles, known colloquially as ‘Pragya.’

Identified as Dave Donbo, the 25-year-old gentleman decided to pursue software programming after high school when he had no funds to further his education.

In his very first semester after being accepted into Ashesi as a Computer Engineering student, he applied for support from the Fund for Service to Youth and Children on campus to launch the app: Kambuu.

This month, the app went live on iOS and Android, and will now focus on growing usage and recruiting drivers in Tamale.

“I am excited about the prospects of the Kambuu app,” Dave adds. “The funding we received helped us launch and do some initial promotion for this application after many months of hard work.

We look forward to working with riders from Tamale to help increase their revenues and provide people with a way to request alternative transport services from their homes.”
