The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Upper West Region is mourning the loss of a devoted party member, Jalilu, who tragically passed away following an accident. Jalilu had served as a polling agent for the NDC during the just-ended 2024 general elections in Sing, a suburb of the Wa Municipality.
The unfortunate incident occurred as Jalilu was traveling from Sing to the Wa Coalition Center to submit results as part of his responsibilities as a polling agent. He was involved in a road accident during the journey and was rushed to the Wa Regional Hospital for emergency care.
Despite efforts by medical personnel, Jalilu was sadly pronounced dead earlier this morning, leaving the NDC fraternity and the entire Sing community in shock and grief.
As the NDC prepares to celebrate what they anticipate to be a major victory in the 2024 elections, the tragedy has cast a shadow over the jubilant mood in the upper west region , reminding everyone of the sacrifices made by party members during the electoral process.
