President John Dramani Mahama, in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20(1) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936) (as amended), has nominated a list of individuals for appointment to the office of MMDCEs across the 11 districts of the Upper West Region.
The appointments are subject to approval by the respective District Assemblies.
The nominations are part of the President’s efforts to ensure the efficient administration and development of the region, empowering local authorities to drive growth, infrastructure, and service delivery at the district level. The final appointments will take effect following the approval process by the respective Assemblies.
