The recent breast cancer screening program was accompanied by health education sessions and the distribution of sanitary pads to young women and students, further addressing critical issues in rural health.
Fenbo Foundation’s two-day program saw a remarkable turnout, with more than 500 women receiving free breast cancer screenings in Pieng and Challu. This massive participation reflects the community’s need and desire for healthcare support and the positive impact that accessible health services can have.
Additionally, students from Challu Junior High School benefited from the foundation’s efforts. The sanitary pad donations aimed at promoting menstrual hygiene management among young girls, helping them remain comfortable and confident during their school days.
Breast cancer awareness remains a critical issue in rural areas where information and early detection services are often scarce. Through interactive sessions, Fenbo Foundation’s team educated women on the importance of self-examinations and regular screenings to detect breast cancer at its earliest stages.
