Hon. Lawyer Nicholas Soyiri, Municipal Chief Executive for Jirapa who read the news on a WhatsApp page quickly made contacts from the school and the unfortunate news was confirmed to him by one of the Teachers. As Chairman of Municipal Security Committee he swiftly mobilized members of the Municipal Security committee to move to the grounds.
Nadowli and Lawra fire tenders were immediately called for reinforcements because Jirapa fire tender has been faulty during its supportive operations at recent Eremon SHT fire outbreak.
Unfortunately, upon arrival of the two tenders the level of damage was unmeasurable.
The Hon. Municipal Chief Executive expressed his displeasure about the situation and gave assurance to parents and guardians not to panic as their wards are all safe and the situation was under control and would not affect teaching and learning.
He said, immediate steps will be taken for additional food stuffs to be supply to support what is available at the school kitchen which can feed the students up to Sunday.
Hon. Nicholas Soyiri said, argent steps will been taken to fit the damage structure to facility learning activities for students.
