Tamale High Court II, presided over by His Lordship Justice Eric Ankoma, nurse Zeinab Mohammed Amin was sentenced to six years imprisonment with hard labour for causing harm to her husband by pouring hot water on him.

The incident occurred in January this year, when Zeinab reportedly poured hot water on her husband after he allegedly refused to allow her to drive his car. Despite her claim of acting in self-defense, the judge found her explanation unconvincing.

Zeinab Mohammed Amin was arrested and brought before the Tamale High Court, where she was charged with causing harm. Throughout the legal proceedings, she maintained her defense of self-defense.

Meanwhile, Zeinab’s husband continues to receive treatment at the Burns Unit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, indicating the severity of the injuries sustained from the incident.
