President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Sammy Gyamfi Esq. as the Acting Managing Director of the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC). This appointment is in line with the government’s commitment to economic revitalization and the sustainable management of the country’s gold resources.

Gyamfi, who holds a BSc in Environmental Science and a Bachelor of Law from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He also holds an MA in Economic Policy Management from the University of Ghana, and a Barrister at Law certification from the Ghana School of Law, he is well-positioned to lead PMMC and drive the agenda of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod).

As the Acting Managing Director of PMMC, Gyamfi will be instrumental in setting up the GoldBod, a key promise outlined in the NDC’s 2024 manifesto. The establishment of GoldBod is a priority for the Mahama administration, aimed at revitalizing Ghana’s economy through the sustainable management and marketing of gold.

The GoldBod will function under the Ministry of Finance, contributing to the long-term vision of economic transformation for Ghana.
