During day two of the Onua Maakye’s Peoples’ Assembly held in Obuasi, Ashanti region, host Captain Smart and his crew were allegedly attacked by an individual believed to be a member of the Obuasi Municipal task force. The incident occurred on Thursday, June 8, and caused disruptions to the event.

The assailant reportedly stormed the venue and physically obstructed the technical team, preventing them from setting up live gadgets. He claimed to have received orders from higher authorities to halt the event. TV3’s Ashanti Region correspondent, William Evans Nkum, provided details of the incident.

Following the attack, Captain Smart and his team sought assistance from the Obuasi Central Police Command to address the issue. The matter is currently being resolved at the police station, according to a report by Onuaonline.com.
