Nursing trainees in Ghana have received three months’ arrears of their allowances, covering the period from October to December 2023. This news brings much-needed relief to the trainees who have been anxiously awaiting their payments.
Current Status of Payments
- Received Allowances: Trainees have been paid for the months of October, November, and December 2023.
- Outstanding Arrears: There are still four months’ worth of arrears for the year 2024 (January to April) that remain unpaid.
Independent student sources have confirmed that the government has settled some of the allowances in arrears. However, Coleman Publications has received information indicating that the allowances paid for October, November, and December 2023 are specifically for second- and third-year students.
Trainees are urged to promptly visit their respective banks with their E-zwich cards to load their funds. This step is essential to ensure they can access the allowances that have been disbursed.
