Music enthusiasts in the Upper West Region were in a state of euphoria on Saturday evening as NorThug Music took center stage on TV3 Ghana’s popular entertainment show, Showbiz360, hosted by Giovani Caleb.

During his appearance, Giovani Caleb posed the question of what could be done to further promote and appreciate music from Northern Ghana. NorThug commended TV3 for their existing efforts in this regard but emphasized that more work is still needed.

“Everybody is doing great on their part [of] project Northern music, but there is more room for improvement, we need to keep pushing,” he stated.

NorThug underscored the critical need for entertainment enthusiasts and promoters to unite and push music as one collective Ghanaian entity, rather than focusing on regional or factional divides – whether northern or southern.

“Each and every one watching me live, I want you to see me as a Ghanaian, not a Northerner; see me as your brother and push my music,” he passionately appealed.

Acknowledging the rich abundance of talented musicians in Northern Ghana, NorThug tipped several artists as ones to watch out for, including GingSen, Rekordz Gh, Fadlan, RichKid, and Best Gally, among others.

NorThug also revealed that he is currently working on his much-anticipated “Sakubo Album,” which he believes is set to take Ghana by storm.
