The 2023 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) competition is currently in the regional qualifiers stage. The competition is organized by the Ghana Education Service (GES) and is aimed at promoting the study of science and mathematics in secondary schools in Ghana.

The regional qualifiers began on June 7, 2023 and will end on July 1, 2023. A total of 100 schools are participating in the regional qualifiers, with each region having 16 schools. The top three schools from each region will qualify for the national finals, which will be held in August 2023.

Excitement fills the air as Lawsec, Wasec, Xavier, and Queen of Peace Senior High Schools gear up to represent the Upper West Region in the renowned NMSQ 23 (National Math and Science Quiz) competition.

The upper west regional qualifiers saw Wa SHS, Lawra SHS, Queen of Peace SHS and St. Francis Girls SHS set to represent the upper west region in the national show down.

St. Ignatius of Loyola SHS: 31pts
Kaleo SHTS: 22pts
St. Francis Girls’ SHS: 35pts
Nandom SHS: 31pts
Jirapa SHS: 15pts
