On Saturday (today), more than 87 million of the 93 million eligible voters will cast ballots to determine who succeeds Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) as president on May 29, 2023.
As of February 5, 6,259,229 PVCs remained uncollected out of a total of 87,209,007, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Four of the country’s eighteen presidential contenders are vying for the office of the president in the 2023 election, which stakeholders have dubbed the “toughest campaign” in the nation’s history.
The four leading contenders are Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, and Rabi’u Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party.

A voter must be 18 years of age or older, registered, have a permanent voter card, and physically appear at the polling place in order to cast a ballot. The voter will cast their ballot in the polling place where their name appears.
The voting period is from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm.
