The National Service Authority (NSA) has officially rolled out a mandatory cashless payment system as part of the government’s ongoing initiative to modernize revenue collection processes. Effective immediately, all users, agencies, and stakeholders must make all payments, including the 20% and 10% administrative service charges, through the GHANA.GOV platform.

This transition to digital payments is designed to offer greater transparency, convenience, and accessibility for all individuals working with the NSA. Payments can now be made 24/7, from anywhere in Ghana, via www.ghana.gov.gh or by dialing *222# on all mobile networks. Additionally, payment processes can be initiated directly from the personnel dashboard for the 10% administrative charge or through invoices sent to the HR/Finance Representatives of user agencies for the 20% charge.

The GHANA.GOV platform serves as a unified digital interface for accessing government services, with a variety of seamless payment options available, including:

  • Bank Cards: Debit and credit cards are accepted.
  • Mobile Money: Dial *222# for services.
  • Online Banking: Use internet banking or bank mobile apps.
  • QR Code: Scan to pay.
  • Direct Transfer: Account-to-account transfer.
  • SWIFT Transfers: For international payments.
  • ACH Transfers: Use ACH for payments.

As of now, all agencies must cease manual payments to NSA staff at the district, regional, and headquarters levels, as such payment methods are no longer valid. The NSA is urging all stakeholders to adopt this new digital payment system for a more efficient and convenient experience, aligning with the Government of Ghana’s goal of establishing a cashless economy.
