There is no doubt that Queen Elizabeth II’s death came as a surprise to a lot of people around the world, even though she was the longest-serving monarch in the history of the British. She ascended the throne when she was only 25 years old and she ruled for 70 years. However, after she passed away in one of her summer homes in the Scottish Highland, her body has been moved to Edinburgh, which took six and a half hours journey.

Looking at some of the pictures that were shared by the Royal Family, her casket was covered with a customized flag and it was guarded by wearing kilts. A lot of mourners were seen by the roadside lining the route. Many of them were in silence, tears, sombre, while others were applauding to show their respect to the late Queen of England.

Below are some of the pictures showing how Queen Elizabeth’s coffin exited the gates of her summer house, Balmoral Castle for Edinburgh ahead of the state funeral in London.
