Most Powerful Duas Every Muslims Must Recite During Ramadan

As Ramadan is just by the corner, BlitzzAfrica.Com take you through some basic duas every muslims muslim recite in the holy month in order to get it’s full benefit.

 

  1. Dua for starting the fast: “Wa bisawmi ghadinn nawaiytu min shahri Ramadan” (I intend to keep the fast for tomorrow in the month of Ramadan).
  2. Dua for breaking the fast: “Allahumma inni laka sumtu wa bika aamantu wa ‘ala rizq-ika aftarthu” (O Allah! I fasted for You and I believe in You and I break my fast with Your sustenance).
  3. Dua for forgiveness: “Astaghfirullah al-‘Adheemal-ladhi la ilaha illa Huwal-Hayyul-Qayyum wa atubu ilaih” (I seek forgiveness from Allah, the Mighty, there is no god but He, the Living, the Sustaining, and I repent to Him).
  4. Dua for acceptance of good deeds: “Allahumma taqabbal minni innaka antas-sami’ul-‘alim” (O Allah! Accept from me, indeed You are the All-Hearer, the All-Knower).
  5. Dua for increased sustenance: “Allahumma rzuqni bi halalika wa harramika wa bimaa rzuqatana” (O Allah! Provide me with what is lawful and keep me away from what is unlawful, and suffice me with what You have given me).
  6. Dua for protection from the hellfire: “Allahumma ajirni minan-naar” (O Allah! Protect me from the Fire).
  7. Dua for seeking guidance: “Allahumma hadeeni fi man hadayta wa ‘afini fi man ‘afayta wa tawallani fi man tawallayta wa baarik li fi ma a’tayta” (O Allah! Guide me among those whom You have guided, grant me safety among those whom You have granted safety, take me into Your care among those whom You have taken into Your care, bless me in what You have given me).
  8. Dua for good health: “Allahumma ‘aafinee fee badani, Allahumma ‘aafinee fee sam’ee, Allahumma ‘aafinee fee basari, la ilaha illa anta” (O Allah! Grant me good health in my body, O Allah! Grant me good health in my hearing, O Allah! Grant me good health in my sight, there is no god but You).
  9. Dua for increased knowledge: “Rabbi zidni ilma” (O Lord! Increase me in knowledge).
  10. Dua for the deceased: “Allahumma ighfir li [name of deceased] wa rahamhu wa ‘afihi wa a’fu ‘anhu, wa akrim nuzulahu wa wassi’ mudkhalahu, waghsilhu bil-ma’i was-thalji wal-barad, wa naqqihi minal-khataya kama yunaqqa ath-thawb al-abyad min ad-danas” (O Allah! Forgive [name of deceased], have mercy on him, pardon him, give him an honorable place and an expansive entry, wash him with water, snow, and hail, purify him from sins as a white garment is purified from filth).
