Meet Mustapha Nustrat NJA College Of Education(Jahan) First Female SRC President

NJA College of Education, (Jahan) has elected for the first time, a female as president of the Students Representative Council (SRC).

Mustapha Nustrat Jahan, a Level 200 student specialising in Primary education, won the election with 35.1% votes to beat four opponents, Kassim Shaibu, Ismail Jamaldeen, Bogobiri Issah Junior, Apeere Eliasu Atubila with 7.8%, 33.1%, 2.7% and 21.0% respectively.

Mustapha Nustrat Jahan is the first female to win  SRC presidency.

In an interview with BlitzzAfrica. Com, she said that it is time women took up leadership roles both in school and in the society and she believes her victory marks an indelible success in the life of NJA College of Education.

“She urges all women not to back down from their dreams and take any spine-breaking discouragement as a form of motivation to strive harder in achieving greater heights.”

Mustapha Nustrat Jahan chose a male vice president, Nawong Abraham Nuonnawa , a Level 200 Mathematics/Science student.

She intends using her position to continue the good works of the previous administration and also work tirelessly in achieving her policies to bring change into the institution.

According to her, NJA College of Education has served the community over the years and that it is time for the institution to be reciprocated.

NJA College of Education is a tertiary institution in Wa,in the Upper West Region.

The College is affiliated to the University of Education Winneba (UEW), and accredited by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC).

It is open to both Muslims and non-Muslims.
