In all schools, the 2023 SHS admission process has started. Following the completion of the admissions procedure with the school, all students who have been assigned to different Schools are scheduled to go to class on February 27 to begin academic work.
All parents, however, are advised to be aware of the following products that must be purchased and items that are forbidden to give to school on February 27.

In addition to food supplies for your child to send to school, the school requires additional materials prior to enrollment. At senior high schools in Ghana, the Ghana Education Service (GES) maintains a standard prospectus list that serves as a guidance for parents in terms of what to purchase for their children.

Products Not Appropriate for SHS (Illegal Items)
Clearly, the things on the list are not covered by the free SHS policy; do not bring them to school.
- Mufti – These are all kinds of
unprescribed attires you wear at
home that have not been included in the list of accepted clothing. - Jewelry such as bangles of any kind, chains, necklaces, rings, dangling earrings, and all manner of expensive items in this class are prohibited.
- Other items that are considered unprescribed things for Senior High Students in Ghana include Sound systems and all electrical appliances not permitted in boarding schools(except for iron)
- Again, Mobile phones are still not
permitted just as iPod, Walkmans and disc players. The list is endless and includes chargeable lamps, fans, television sets, laptops, etc. - In addition, no student is supposed to have excessive cash/money. Parents are advised to give just enough pocket money.
Nonetheless, the Akufo Addo administration has pledged to provide each senior high school student a tablet. Mobile phones and tablets cannot be used in Ghanaian senior high schools up until that point. Nonetheless, students may utilize the school’s ICT lab.
