Lambussie District, Upper West Region- An elderly man was discovered shot dead in a pool of blood by an unknown men on Monday, July 15, 2024, in Yatuo Yiri, a farming community in the Lambussie District. The tragic incident has left the local community in shock and mourning.

According to an eyewitness, who chose to remain anonymous, a group of strong, armed men stormed their farm, causing the workers to flee in fear, leaving the elderly victim behind. The victim’s name has yet to be identified.
The eyewitness recounted the terrifying moments leading up to the attack:
“We saw some strong men coming towards us, so I drew Kofi’s attention that we should run away. We could not stand to see what would happen next, but usually, when it’s raining, we go to Yatuo Yiri for cover. While we were running, we heard gunshots.”
