Residents of 17 communities in the Jirapa constituency can now celebrate access to clean drinking water, thanks to a new initiative by their Member of Parliament, Hon. Cletus Seidu Dapilah. Recognizing the health risks of relying on unapproved water sources, Hon. Dapilah spearheaded the drilling of 17 boreholes across the constituency.

This project significantly reduces pressure on existing boreholes, eliminating long queues and the need for residents to travel far distances to collect water.

Communities likeNyeni, Da-Uri, Zaghe, Yebile, Katang, Oing-wanware, Kenee, Tuopare, Ul-Kpong, Wuoyiri, Kompore, Jefiri, Nachenyiri, Kur-Ora, Nambeg, and Yagha-Gbaan and many others are now benefiting from this essential project.

Demonstrating his commitment to the well-being of his constituents, Hon. Dapilah has pledged to secure funding for additional boreholes in the future. He financed the current project using his portion of the District Assembly Common Fund.

The residents have expressed their sincere gratitude to Hon. Dapilah for his dedication to improving their lives. They acknowledge the positive impact of these boreholes, not just for the present but for generations to come, by providing clean water and promoting better health.
