The Ministry of the Interior has clarified that Friday, November 8, 2024, though designated as the date for the 40th National Farmers’ Day celebration, will not be recognized as a public holiday.
This announcement, confirmed in a press statement signed by the Minister for the Interior, Henry Quartey, on November 5, affirms that the official Farmers’ Day public holiday will instead be observed on Friday, December 6, 2024.

The Ministry also noted that this year’s event, unlike previous years, will not feature regional-level celebrations, allowing all focus to be on the national ceremony.
