“I will not contest the General secretary position of the NDC; I either go for National Chairman or retire” – Asiedu Nketia

According to him, he has two options now. It is either he will contest for the chairmanship position of the party or he will retire from politics. He made these revelations when speaking on Radio Gold.

He added that it is time for others to have a feel of that position. He also revealed that being the general secretary for the party has been his longest serving position as a politician.

“This is breaking news. I will not contest for the position of a general secretary again. Enough is enough. The options are now two. It is either is i will go in for Chairmanship or even retire from politics. A child who was born when I first became the general secretary will be a graduate by now. This is the work I have done most in my life he said.

Asiedu Nketia has been the longest serving general secretary for the NDC. He became the general secretary for the NDC in 2005 and has hold onto that position for 17 years. Before that, he was a member of Parliament for three consecutive terms.
