Elon Musk, who acquired the social networking platform from its creators in April 2022, named Linda Yaccarino as its new CEO on Friday.
Elon Musk intimated on Thursday that he had hired a Chief Executive Officer while he became the “exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops” following a series of live trials and problems on the app.
Here are five things to know about the new CEO that assumes office in six weeks:
- Yaccarino is a seasoned Ads executive. According to her description on the corporate website, she was the chairman of global advertising and partnerships at NBCU for more than ten years and produced over $100 billion in revenue.

2. To create COVID-19 immunization efforts, she collaborated with the White House and Pope Francis.
3. She was chosen to serve on the Presidential Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition by the late US President Donald Trump.
4. She is reported to be about 60 years of age
