In a tragic incident that has sent shockwaves through Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), a level 300 student is suspected of having taken her own life in her room at Bomso’s Ultimate Hostel.

The student, who was pursuing a major in real estate, was a guest at the hostel when the incident occurred. According to reports, she had already committed suicide by the time her friends received a distressing message from her stating, “I QUIT.”

When her friends discovered the message and grew concerned for her well-being, they rushed to her room only to find the door locked. With the urgency of the situation, other hostel guests joined forces to force open the door and reach the student in time.

Tragically, their efforts were in vain, as the student had already succumbed to her actions. The police were subsequently called to the scene, and the deceased’s body was transported to the morgue for further investigation.

The news of the student’s suspected suicide has left the KNUST community in shock and mourning. The university is providing support and counseling services to students and staff affected by the tragedy.
