The Member of Parliament for Wa Central, Dr. Rashid Pelpuo, has commissioned four new boreholes in the communities of Kpongu, Kulkpara, Kparisaga, and Sanchiga, marking a significant step towards improving access to clean water.

The present water project is through the support of the Qatar Foundation.

In thanking the Foundation Dr. Pelpuo reminded the people the numerous projects he initiated and reiterated the transformative impact of these projects, particularly the introduction of electricity, which has opened up opportunities for businesses such as welding shops and soft drink vendors further driving economic empowerment. “Electricity is not just a convenience; it’s a catalyst for economic activities and job creation,” he emphasized.

The provision of clean water through the boreholes is expected to significantly enhance the quality of life in the beneficiary communities. Reliable access to water will improve health, reduce the burden on women and children who often walk long distances to fetch water, and support agricultural activities.
