Hon. Dr. Rashid Pelpuo, Member of Parliament for Wa Central, has generously released an amount of GH₵3,114.41 to cover the school fees for Farouk Alhassan, a brilliant student from Kpongu, a suburb of the Wa Central Constituency.
Farouk recently gained admission to the University for Development Studies in Tamale, where he will pursue a six-year Bachelor of Medicine program.
Farouk Alhassan’s exceptional academic performance in the 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), where he scored seven A1s and one B3, caught the attention of the MP, prompting this act of support.
The payment is scheduled to be made into the school’s accounts at Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) on Monday, September 9, 2024.
In addition, Dr. Rashid Pelpuo has pledged to secure a scholarship package for Farouk Alhassan should the National Democratic Congress (NDC) come to power.
This gesture is just a glimpse of the good works undertaken by the respected lawmaker in his mission to empower his constituents through education.
The MP’s commitment to supporting students aligns with his vision of building a stronger, more educated community in Wa Central.
