Dr. Hilla Limann Technical University (DHLTU) has announced the introduction of two new Master of Technology (M.Tech) programs for the 2025/2026 academic year. These new postgraduate offerings are the Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Irrigation & Conservation Agriculture and the Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering.
Admission for both programs is currently in progress, with application forms available for GHC 200.
Entry Requirements for M.Tech Irrigation & Conservation Agriculture
This program is designed for professionals and graduates seeking advanced knowledge in sustainable agricultural practices. The entry requirements are as follows:
Academic Qualification: Applicants must possess a BTech/BSc First Class or Second Class (Upper Division) in Agricultural Engineering, Sustainable Agriculture, Environment, General Agriculture, Crop Science, or related fields from a recognized university.
Interview Requirement: Applicants with a Second Class (Lower Division) or lower qualifications are required to pass a selection interview prior to admission.
Professional Eligibility: Agricultural Engineering professionals and those in related fields holding Higher National Diplomas (First Class or Second Class Upper Division) with substantial work experience in senior management positions are also eligible. Their applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Foreign Applicants: International applicants demonstrating proficiency in English and meeting the above academic and professional requirements are eligible for admission. Their qualifications, transcripts, and references will undergo careful consideration as required by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC).

Entry Requirements for Master of Technology (M.Tech) Mechanical Engineering
Academic Qualification: Applicants must hold a BTech/BSc First Class or Second Class (Upper Division) in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or related engineering disciplines from a recognized university.
Interview Requirement: Candidates with a Second Class (Lower Division) or lower qualifications must pass a selection interview before admission.
Work Experience: A first degree in a relevant engineering-related discipline is required. Additionally, applicants must have at least two (2) years of industrial or work experience and must pass a selection interview if their degree is a Second Class Lower or Pass division.
Foreign Applicants: International applicants demonstrating proficiency in English and meeting the academic requirements are eligible for admission. Their qualifications will be referred to the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) for equivalency determination and eligibility assessment in line with GTEC requirements.
