Suleman Yahaya [S.Y] also known De Fuma , has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Upper West Regional Youth Organizer for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The event took place at Upland in Wa, the regional capital of the Upper West Region on 13th July,2025. The program brought together youth leaders, party elders, and several youth groups. The venue was filled to capacity, with many standing outside, showing the strong support Suleman Yahaya (SY) enjoys among the youth.
In a passionate speech, Suleman Yahaya (SY) called on the youth to unite and work hard to help the NPP return to power in the 2028 elections. He said the party has always been blessed with intelligent, hardworking, and passionate young people and he is ready to lead them to victory.
“We are gathered here because of the love we all have for the NPP,” he said. “I am not saying I am better than other candidates , we are all brothers , but I believe I have the strength, vision, and passion to lead the youth and help bring back power to our beloved party.”
Party elders who spoke at the event encouraged the youth to choose wisely and described Suleman Yahaya as a strong and committed young leader who understands the struggles of the party’s grassroots.
Some youth leaders also took turns to speak, praising Suleman Yahaya for his bold step and promising to support him fully.
The event ended with excitement and unity as youth from across the region showed their support, making it clear that Suleman Yahaya is a strong contender for the NPP Upper West Regional Youth Organizer position.
