Stakeholders, including the Upper West Regional Minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, celebrated the news that the Zongo Development Fund has allocated funds for the construction of a fence wall, main gate, and security post at Jamiat Alhidayat Islamic Girl’s Senior High School in Wa.

This announcement fulfills a pledge made by President Nana Akufo-Addo during his visit to Wa Naa Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo IV’s palace in 2022.

Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih expressed gratitude to Dr. Arafat Sulemana Abdulai, the CEO of the Zongo Development Fund, for securing the funds for the project.

The Chairperson of the school’s Board of Governors, Hajia Fusata Hamidu, the Headmistress, Mrs. Afusa Salia, the Regional Manager of the Islamic Education Unit, Alhaji Rashid, and other stakeholders present at the meeting were overjoyed and appreciative upon hearing the news.

The construction contract has been awarded to Azimpex Limited, a reputable construction firm in the region, ensuring quality execution. The Regional Coordinating Council and the Zongo Development Fund are committed to ensuring value for money in the project.

Accompanying the Regional Minister were Mr. Abdul Razak Korah, the Regional Director of the Ghana Education Service, Alhaji Mahmoud Osman, the Northern Zone Coordinator of the Zongo Development Fund, Alhaji White, the Managing Director of Azimpex Limited, and officials from the Regional Coordinating Council.

This collaboration among key stakeholders demonstrates a concerted effort to provide improved educational infrastructure for the school.
