Cash App founder Bob Lee stabbed to death in the US at the age of 43

In California, USA, Cash App founder and IT executive Bob Lee was fatally murdered.

The IT executive was reportedly stabbed early on Tuesday morning close to downtown San Francisco, according to sources, KPIX reports.

In the city’s Rincon Hill district, in the 300 block of Main Street, a stabbing was reported at about 2:35 a.m., according to police. When officers arrived, they found the victim, who had been brought to a hospital where he later died from his injuries.

As of Tuesday night, the city’s medical examiner’s office still hadn’t identified the victim, but Lee’s pals confirmed to KPIX that he was the one who died.

The 43-year-old Lee headed MobileCoin, a cryptocurrency firm based in San Francisco.

A deluge of tributes to Lee were sent on Twitter Tuesday night, many of them using the @crazybob handle.

The case has not resulted in an arrest, and San Francisco police have not disclosed any information about the suspects.

Calling the police department’s tip line was encouraged for anyone with information regarding the fatal stabbing.
