Four times Ghana Premier League winners Ashgold SC have been relegated to the third tier of Ghana football by the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association.
This comes after their 2020/21 match fixing scandal against Inter Allies FC that produced some comic goals including an own goal from an opposition player to spoil a reported fixed score line.
The Obuasi based side will start their 2022/23 football season from the third tier of Ghana football as they start their return to topflight football.
