Bolgatanga Technical University has announced plans to introduce a PhD program in Agriculture, significantly expanding its postgraduate offerings and solidifying its commitment to the field.

News of the program emerged from a recent radio interview featuring Vice Chancellor Prof. Samuel Erasmus Alnaa. Prof. Alnaa highlighted the university’s successful implementation of various Master’s programs in Agriculture, paving the way for the introduction of a doctoral program.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the initiative, Prof. Alnaa stated, “We are beginning the process of running a PhD program in the School of Agriculture… This school is well-equipped with experienced professors capable of supervising PhD theses.” The program is anticipated to launch within the next two years, aligning with the graduation timeline of the current Master’s students.
