Boey P Opens Up On His Musical Journey On A One On One With Sammy Flex.

It was delivered much to the expectations of those involved as Sammy Flex and his team stormed the Upper East region last week to honor a creative seminar brought forth by the kind courtesy of Happy Man Bitters- Upper East Music Awards.

All the sectors that needed to be fixed were duly highlighted and tackled and now it was time for a one-on-one chat with some stars from the region. Boey P, born Azumah Apeawin tells it all as he opens up on his journey with the celebrated entertainment show host, Sammy Flex.

Opening up on how he started, the 2019 viewers’ choice winner of the 3RD TV MUSIC VIDEO AWARDS noted he started music in his childhood days because he grew up in a community where music was loved by all including his parents.

He disclosed that though he came professionally in 2015, he started as a producer before kick-starting another career as a musician. He reminisced how he used to sample beats from his first laptop bought for him by his father back then.

He again revealed to Sammy Flex that he is currently into both production and music at the moment.

“I started music as a kid back then because I grew up in a community where everybody loved music. I however started as a producer and I remember how I used to learn beat sampling from the first laptop my father bought for me”, Boey P revealed.

He tipped sustaining his career in music over his production in times yet to come because he believes as a musician, you are always busy attending interviews, video shoots, and many other occasions, and when that time comes, he wouldn’t even get time to sit in the studio talk less of producing. He was nevertheless quick in adding that his production aspect of him has connected him to a lot of artists back home, down south, and even some outside Ghana.

He revealed that the HMB-UEMA to him has no fault at all despite him having not won an award in the scheme after a single nomination which came last year.

He otherwise points out the multilingual disparities of the Upper East as one of the stumbling blocks to the success of many artists since those who are limited to only one language finds it difficult to penetrate other parts of the region because of the language barrier.

He has revealed that he’s currently working on an album that will be readily available by December this year. He noted that the album is almost ready but he wants to drop it with its accompanying videos which he started working on a week ago.
