Former Black Stars Captain, Asamoah Gyan, has unveiled the All-Regional Games initiative, aimed at unearthing Ghanaian talents in diverse sports disciplines without bias. Scheduled to take place in June at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, this sports festival seeks to revitalize grassroots sports across all 16 regions of Ghana.

Gyan, renowned for his stellar football career including his tenure with Sunderland, expressed his vision to rejuvenate grassroots sports and identify promising talents for national representation and international exposure. The All-Regional Games will feature a wide array of sports including football, volleyball, athletics, basketball, boxing, tennis, and arm wrestling among others.

During an interview on Home Radio in Wa as part of his tour of the Upper West Region to raise awareness about the festival, Gyan reiterated his commitment to promoting sports development at the grassroots level. The initiative aims to provide aspiring athletes with a platform to showcase their skills and potentially represent Ghana on the international stage.

All interested person between the ages of 18 and 23 years of age to register for any of the afromentioned sports desciplines so that when you are qualified for the trials in your region, you will have the chance to represent your region at the national level,” he stated.
