Tshwanelo Maredi, Apple Music’s Sub-Saharan Africa music editor, announced the news on Tuesday via her LinkedIn profile.

“Apple Music is honoring Ghana’s Independence Day with Trotro vibes to celebrate the musicians who have developed into a thriving business for young creatives today,’ according to Maredi.

The playlist, which is called Trotro after Ghana’s preferred means of transportation, also includes artists from the new school and international sound producers including Camidoh, Cina Soul, Yaw Tog, Kwesi Arthur, Black Sherif, and King Promise.

According to a statement on the platform, “Trotro Vibes celebrates the sound of the street, featuring sounds from Ghana’s new school—and it’s your road map to the country’s most dynamic emerging artists.” Trotro Vibes is named after the minibus public transportation system that serves as a carrier of conversation, culture, and connection.

Trotro Vibes will also include music, unique interviews, and what Apple Music refers to be “important releases” from the musicians who advance culture.
