Controversial actress Akuapem Poloo has turned to the police for protection following an alleged failed assassination plot against her.
Poloo, who resides with her nine-year-old son, reported that her home was invaded by a 23-year-old intruder who managed to gain access to her compound and make his way upstairs to her room.
Fortunately, the presence of some visiting friends startled the suspect upon seeing one of the gentlemen, thus preventing any harm to Poloo.
When confronted, the intruder confessed to targeting Akuapem Poloo but seemed confused when questioned about his intentions inside her chambers.

The suspect was subsequently handed over to the police, where he allegedly confessed to being hired by individuals to harm Poloo. He implicated an accomplice, a taxi driver who was waiting nearby, five houses away from Poloo’s residence. The taxi driver was also apprehended by the authorities.
However, in a distressed live video, Akuapem Poloo shared that the taxi driver distanced himself from the crime and explained that he was only hired by the first suspect to drive him to the location.

Upon reviewing CCTV footage, Poloo claimed that the car was observed circling her home multiple times before parking in the darkness, allowing the suspect to sneak inside.
Both suspects are currently in police custody as investigations continue.
Expressing her emotions with tears, Akuapem Poloo pleaded for forgiveness from anyone who may have held resentment towards her, acknowledging her past mistakes.
