On social media, a video of an abaya, a women’s traditional Islamic dress, going for N1.8 million equivalent to 45,925 gh¢ has gone viral.
Without an abaya, or simple, flowy overdress, a woman’s wardrobe is incomplete. The cost of the robe-like item varies based on the fabric that was used to manufacture it.

The pricey abaya was displayed in the extravagant film, which provoked a flood of amusing remarks and criticism of its high price.
An online retailer named @7sisters_veils uploaded the video and explained that the abaya had caused problems in their DM.
“The abaaya that is causing wahala for my DM1.8m,” said the caption of the video. Come and rule this Eid in your designer attire.
