Daffiama Senior High School (SHS) has taken stringent disciplinary action by suspending 81 students and dismissing 7 others for various acts of misconduct. This decision comes after persistent violations of school rules and issues related to the recent Sallah break.

Persistent Rule Violations

School authorities reported that a significant number of students were consistently breaking school rules, despite having signed bonds of good behavior. Repeated warnings and corrective efforts were ineffective, leading to the suspension of the affected students.

Sallah Break Infractions

In addition to the ongoing defiance, another group of students failed to return to school on time after the Sallah break. These students had previously written an anonymous letter to the headmaster requesting permission to go home for the Sallah celebration. Although the break was granted with a clear expectation for a prompt return, many students did not adhere to the agreed timeline, resulting in disciplinary action.

Disciplinary Measures

The suspended students are expected to return to school after a two-week suspension period. Upon their return, they will face hard labor as part of the school’s disciplinary measures. This step aims to reinforce the importance of adhering to school rules and maintaining discipline within the student body.

Severe Misconduct

The dismissals involve students whose actions were deemed particularly egregious, necessitating a more severe response. The school administration believes these decisive actions will serve as a deterrent to other students and help restore order and discipline within the institution.
