Renowned Kumawood actress Mercy Asiedu has publicly endorsed John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), for the upcoming presidential election.

Speaking at an event sponsored by Mahama to gather feedback from the creative community, Mercy Asiedu highlighted Mahama’s significant contributions to the creative sector during his previous tenure as President. She noted that Mahama provided vehicles to several key industry figures, which she believes greatly supported their professional endeavors.

Asiedu remarked that many entertainers saw their businesses flourish thanks to Mahama’s support. She expressed confidence that the industry would benefit even more if Mahama were to return to power. She urged her colleagues and fans to remember Mahama’s past contributions when voting in the forthcoming elections.

“It is through his good ways that some people in the creative arts industry felt good. Some who had no cars got cars, so I beg you, let’s rally support for Mahama. He will do it because he has done it before,” Mercy Asiedu stated in a video.

In his plans to advance the creative arts sector, John Mahama has proposed establishing a dedicated TV channel for the industry. Additionally, he has outlined 22 policies aimed at further developing the sector if he is elected as the next president.

John Mahama will face Vice-President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), along with other candidates in the upcoming December 7 elections.
